Well… about me. I’m approaching 50, so you can imagine there’s plenty I could say — but I’ll keep it brief.
I completed my training as an EFL teacher (English as a Foreign Language), with a specific focus on teaching in secondary schools — both daytime and night schools — within Uruguay’s public education system. That led me to teach at public high schools, where I worked with teenagers and adults alike. I also taught executives and technicians at large corporations, helping them develop their professional English communication skills.
Later, I earned an English–Spanish translation certificate and worked in the field for a while. I then ran a small data entry business and had a brief stint in the software industry.
Eventually, I decided to reinvent myself — and return to what had always been at the core of my career: teaching. I became certified to teach Spanish as a Foreign Language, and since then I’ve continued specializing through additional certifications, including in Spanish for healthcare professionals and Rioplatense Spanish, the variety spoken in Argentina and Uruguay.
Looking back, teaching has been the common thread throughout my working life. Even when I wasn’t officially a teacher, I was always teaching — training coworkers, supporting clients, or guiding teams through unfamiliar topics.
If you’d like to know more about my teaching style and background, I recommend requesting a trial lesson. It’s the best way for us to connect and see how I can help you reach your Spanish goals.
